Be Careful Within phpMyAdmin

carefulIf you have not had much experience working within phpMyAdmin and you already have one or more MySQL databases in place that were setup through cPanel then you definately dont want to try and rush anything when you are using phpMyAdmin.

It should be easy for you to reach phpMyAdmin from within cPanel and once in phpMyAdmin you can see any databases that you created listed, as well as being able to browse the tables within your databases, insert data, run an SQL query, empty tables and drop tables as well as delete whole databases.

Now if you try and rush what you’re doing, even if you have experience of performing various actions within phpMyAdmin and have got comfortable using it, theres still a chance you might make a mistake.

If you are trying to rush, you may have forgotten about backing up your database first to revert back to if something goes wrong and while you may be able to undo and sort out minor editing mistakes that you might of made within your database, it would be much better if you dont have to deal with them in the first place as sometimes sorting a mistake that you made can take up more of your time than expected and if you didn’t make a backup before working on the database then this becomes a real headache.

Whatever you’re doing while in phpMyAdmin, never try to rush it, making a mistake that you could otherwise avoid could mean downtime for your website and frustration for visitors to your site, especially if your website usually gets plenty of traffic and also if your site has user accounts.

While most situations regarding websites and databases can be sorted out, you dont want to put yourself through unnecessary stress for the sake of taking your time while working within phpMyAdmin.
