For anyone looking to use dedicated servers to host their websites it is very important to have a realistic budget in mind for what you expect to get from a dedicated hosting plan.

Its expected and understood that you will be paying significantly more than a VPS plan and plenty more than you would pay for a shared hosting plan and clearly if you need the extra power that dedicated servers provide then you need to be prepared to pay for that extra power.

A dedicated server plan does not have to become frighteningly expensive and unmanageable but a lower level dedicated plan is going to have limitations, so if you know that you need a dedicated server and that you really do need access to a lot of disk space, very heavy bandwidth and plenty of processor power and RAM then be prepared to pay for it.
