Do You Need Phone Support At Your Web Host?
When looking at what each web host has to offer and taking into consideration what may be important to you as part of the package that you purchase it is a good idea to double check what support is offered to you as a customer.
Some web hosts will have many support options and really do a good job of providing plenty of good information, both live support and in the form of documentation like tutorials, articles, a forum and more.
Other web hosts may have a more limited amount of support options yet still do a good job and deal with customers questions well and provide suitable answers but not all web hosts will provide phone support and for some potential customers phone support can be very important to them.
Even if there is plenty of alternative help provided, a lot of people still want to be able to phone and speak to someone for technical help, its important to remember that it could cost you substantially more to phone your web host for help if they are in a foreign country and communication may be difficult if you have chosen a host based somewhere abroad, also call times may be limited or you may have to call at a time that is less than ideal for you so as to be able to contact the web host during their call time open hours.
So you need to consider all of this and if phone support is indeed important to you and you feel you would be making use of the phone support a lot where available then be sure that the web host can not only provide phone support but that they also provide it at a time that you feel is suitable for you.
Some will have a 24/7 phone line but not all, and available times can be different on weekends.
If you need phone support make sure that the web hosting company provides what you expect so that you dont find yourself outside of the available hours when something goes wrong.
