The People Behind The Web Hosting Provider That You Use

crimeOnline, as well as offline, it's not unusual within business for the owner(s) of a company to become quite well known, especially if the owners choose to put themselves at the forefront and make themselves known to the public.

A good example would be Richard Branson he has never been one to hide himself away, instead he's quite public, willing to use himself to help promote and launch his new business ventures and letting people know that he's behind a new product or service.

Not all people behind a company want to come out and make themselves known to the public though, and thats fine, a lot of people like to protect their privacy, they prefer to keep their business and private lives separate, mainitaining privacy for themselves and their family.

But sometimes there can be a reason why a business owner may not give too much away about themselves and may want to keep anything from their past from becoming known to the public and their customers.

When you choose to use a web hosting provider, you hope that not only will you receive a good service, but that the person or people behind the service can be trusted, are not and have never been involved in any criminal activities and can generally give you piece of mind, and most of the time you will get that but out there in online business, every now and then a discovery is made that shows just how dangerous some of the people can be who are running services like web hosting.

A shocking but real life example is when killer cops setup an online computer company , obviously this is not something that you discover everyday, and not something that you would expect to find out about a company that is offering online services but in extreme cases like this it shows not only the types of people who you could be buying services from but also the fact that people who have committed serious crimes in the past have managed to get as far as setting up a company that unsuspecting customers will be purchasing services from.

The above example is extremely rare, and the seriousness of their past crimes is of course shocking, and it would be quite difficult for anyone to know about this beforehand but it shows how the existence of web hosting services and other web related services does not ensure that the people running these services are law abiding citizens with a good reputation.

We cant let ourselves become scared of using a web hosting provider for fear of the unknown, but it does show that you need to be as selective, careful and vigilant as you can be with regards to who you do business with online and who you choose to host your websites with.
