When your browsing through forums and other places looking for information you will often come across people recommending a web host and it may seem that many are recommending the same host or the same few hosts as some of the companies may have become very popular and a favourite between some webmasters but the smaller and lesser known web hosts should not be ignored and are always worth looking into.

Because some of them may not be as known it doesn’t mean that they are not good enough and that no one is using them, some may have been around for a few years too, its just that there are many different sized companies too and some have no intent on trying to become a web hosting giant and so sometimes they can appear to be in the shadows when in fact they are good and strong web hosts and just happen to be mentioned less.

There can be many benefits to choosing a lesser known web host for example they may offer good support and shorter waiting times because they are not having to deal with such a large amount of customers and often the plans offered may not be oversold so you will receive a realistically sized plan rather than a claim that you get unlimited disk space, bandwidth etc.

So definately check out a few other web hosts that you may have never even heard of before, you may still want to choose a large and well known host in the end but its still worth a look just incase you find a nice ideal plan that you feel is more suitable to your needs and that you otherwise may not have been aware of.
