Free-Up Disk Space Within Your Shared Hosting Account

delete-messageIf you have an account with a web hosting provider who does not offer unlimited everything and provides smaller and much more realistic plans then reaching the maximum disk space provided to you can sometimes happen quicker than you expect.

It might be a cheaply priced shared hosting plan and you can usually upgrade to the next plan up from the provider but at times you can avoid having to do that if the issue it to do with running out of disk space.

It may only be a few dollars difference to upgrade to the next plan but in times like these, every dollar that you can save is a bonus.

What some people forget about is the amount of emails that they may have within the email accounts setup within their hosting plan, of course an average email may not be taking up much space but one with attachments can and if you haven't deleted old emails for a while and have a few email accounts in place on that plan then these can soon add up and its all basically taking up unnecessary space.

If you dont need something anymore and know that there are files, emails and media still on the server but not being used by you or within any of your sites any longer then its best to delete them, it may suprise you at the space that is freed up, preventing you from taking on a bigger hosting plan, even if only for the time being, it all saves you money.
