When you’re looking at the details of what a VPS provider is offering in their various packages you need to make sure that they have stated the amount of guaranteed RAM that will be available to you.

The guaranteed RAM is what is available solely for you on that package and the burstable RAM is what is available for short bursts of usage and can be used by other VPS customers on the server.

If you see a VPS plan that looks pretty affordable but they are not listing the amount of guaranteed RAM available to you then you really need to ask them about this.

Dont go by the amount of burstable RAM listed on their website, if they have not listed the amount of guaranteed RAM that you will have available then you need  to wonder why they may not have listed this.

Guaranteed RAM may also be referred to as dedicated RAM, it means the same and as dedicated suggests its the amount of RAM available to you.

Make sure you know what they are offering to you with regards to the available RAM for you on any VPS hosting plan.
